How simple is it to wake up in the morning knowing that you're not doing all that it takes?
It's definitely not simple. You can just lay there awake, thinking, oh, what's a few minutes more in bed? It won't really matter. WRONG. It matters now and it will matter in the future. Imagine how simple it is to get up in the morning when you're giving it your all, doing the best you can, and eager to get going and move closer to your goals. It's an entirely other narrative. Resting to replenish your energy is very different than resting to avoid your day. It's fantastic when you're fired up about what you have planned for the day. You will wake up before the alarm clock even tries to startle you awake. Your triumphs give you extra energy, they fire your ambition, and they open the road for more successes. With one accomplishment, you are eager to meet another, and another, and another. It is because for all of us, progress is the core of existence. Growth to the best of your ability is the core of life.
But sometimes life doesn't give you what you want, not because you don't deserve it, but because you deserve so much more. You can be worth a lot, but if you're in the wrong place, you can never be YOU. So, step outside, get some air, let nature be your healer and remind yourself of who you are and where you want to be.
Remember, we can't always have a good day but we can always approach difficult days with positivity by applauding our successes. Remind your dear self that the ultimate mantra is not to get worked up over situations we can't change. It's not worth the anger build up or the headache. Control only what you can & don't stress a thing because faith is the light that guides you through the darkness. It's going to work out because you are not going to stop putting the work in, may not be here, SOMEWHERE ELSE.
As I penned down this, Roy T. Bennett quote flashed through my mind- "If you want to fly, you have to give up what weighs you down."
